Skillman, New Jersey is a bedroom Community of the City of Princeton in Somerset County. At the turn of the 20th century, Skillman was a tiny village with a post office, feed store and hardware store. In 2011, the village buildings were so deteriorated that no remaining historic value could be salvaged. The village structures were demolished and the township of Montgomery sold the property to Somerset County.
