Real Estate Agent

Laura moved to Princeton in 1983, from Boston, by way of Virginia and Washington, DC. She attended The National Cathedral School for Girls, graduated from The College of William & Mary, with a degree in; Philosophy, Psychology and Theatre, and went on to get her Master’s degree in Theatre from The University of Virginia.

She did her post-graduate work at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and spent the next 20 years acting and directing professionally in: Boston, Princeton, (at McCarter Theatre from 1983-1999), and in New York City, with several years at The Williamstown Theatre Festival. A Professor at Marymount Manhattan College, TCNJ and a lecturer at Princeton University, she created the McCarter Theatre Youth Conservatory and Training Wing in 1989, and was McCarter’s Master Acting teacher for many, many years.

Laura made her career change after her son was born, and left McCarter to work for Peyton Associates in Princeton. She and her cohorts had a long and successful run until Tod Peyton retired and closed up shop. Off to N.T. Callaway she went. Callaway eventually merged with Henderson, and here she is. She has been in real estate now for over 20 years, and has always been at the very top, in the company of a select group of top producing agents.

Laura is an odd mix of diametrically opposed DNA. Her grandmother is cousin to Ernest Hemingway, while her father descends from the political Utah Huntsman clan. She brings to her real estate work an ebullient personality and a smorgasbord of skills, that combine in a way that work perfectly to create the highly professional and successful Realtor that she is. She knows how to “kick in” to her in-depth information gathering mode, diagnosing; data, the players, situations, issues, and becoming a ‘terrier on a pant leg’ when she needs to be. Her always “on-target” people skills, and uber-savvy negotiating skills, were perfected during many years of traveling the world with her parents, (her stepfather was a newspaper owner and Editor, serving on the Board of the Associated Press, for decades). Laura grew up surrounded by renowned journalists, celebrities, politicians and writers. It has definitely shaped who she is now, and how she goes about her daily work. It sets her apart.

She’s smart, funny and quick-witted, leaves no stone unturned, and is at the top of her game. Above all, she has the utmost integrity, in every facet of her work, and is always discreet. She serves each one of her clients with a 100% commitment to concierge service, unwavering diligence and supreme loyalty. Laura does not utilize an assistant. You always get HER, not second best. When buying or selling a home, I wouldn’t work with anyone else. You want Laura leading your team, from start to finish.

Laura’s husband, Steve LeMenager, is a professional college admissions consultant, who owns and operates his own international company, Edvice. Having been the former Director of Admissions at Princeton University for decades, as well as an honorary member of Princeton’s Class of 1983, he now counsels families and students on college admissions, helping them to navigate what has become an increasingly competitive, complicated and confusing process. Steve also served on the Board of Trustees of Stuart Country Day School for 10 years, with several terms as its Board Chair.

Laura and Steve have one son, who attended Princeton Day School and Colorado College, (majoring in Biology and Ecology), two dogs, (yes, terriers), and an older white Norwegian Fjord horse, named Silas. Laura has served on the Board of Trustees of The Arts Council of Princeton, and currently serves as the President of the Board of The Whole Earth Center in Princeton, an organic natural foods store, founded as a non-profit organization and grocery in 1970, on the very first Earth Day.
